... the BBC trilogy, not the fake Hollywood takes. Robert Downey Jr is the 'Made in China' version of the reclusive detective of vintage London.
1. Victorian England is the best recourse for dark stories, except for Paul Auster's New York which is sadly not Victorian in any sense.
2. London is still the most fitting setting for a dark suspense. Even in the times of a recession-hit, BBC infested funding.
3. That being a sociopath is the new sexy.
4. That 'Mis-Behaving' women are not feminists (or are they?) [watch the second season]
5. That something about Sherlock Holmes is extremely modern.
6. That long black coats can never go out of fashion, and Cumberbatch will make sure they do not.
7. That long black coatswith baritone voices will NEVER go out of fashion.
8. That the backdrop of war makes Dr. Watson an extremely dark figure.
9. That Dr. Watson is definately smarter than Dr.Holmes.
10. That Sherlock Holmes will never die.

Nice. I love Sherlock Holmes. I'm a bit behind the times and just discovered the BBC's mini-series, but I was pleasantly surprised that indeed it does make sense in modern times.
Hope you're well, Aprajita!
Hey Jessica!
Long time, its been! I discovered the series quite by chance too, while borrowing some other film from someone's hard drive.
Been very knee-jerky with my posts, as you can see. Most dont really make any sense. Mostly because I am neck deep in coursework for my MPhil.
We must exchange mails soon. Thanks for stopping by!
